About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a leader in the manufacturing industry, we design and produce innovative, high-quality products, and we’re looking for a talented engineer to lead design projects from concept to production. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in mechanical design, problem-solving, and project management to deliver optimal solutions for complex challenges.


Key Responsibilities


  • Design & Development: Lead the design and development of mechanical components, systems, and products, ensuring they meet performance, cost, and quality requirements.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, driving best practices in design and engineering methodologies.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple design projects, ensuring timely completion and effective collaboration across departments.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Develop prototypes and conduct performance testing, analyzing data to refine and improve designs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Work closely with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes, focusing on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Documentation & Standards: Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies, maintaining thorough documentation.


Qualifications


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on FEA and DFMEA.
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, casting, injection molding).
  • Proven experience with prototyping, testing, and product validation.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
