Type: Full-time position

Pay rate-29K-32K per annum

Purpose of Role

As a Field Care Supervisor, you will be an integral part of our team, delivering high-quality complex and specialist care and supervising carers to a caseload of clients. You will be responsible for the clinical aspects of care and training. Working closely with the team, you will support the delivery of high-quality homecare. You will report to the Field Supervising Manager. You will be based 2 days in the office while the rest will be working in the field and in Client’s home.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

Job Purpose

·       Supervise care staff teams.

·       Deliver training to staff in practice, assessing competency using a structured approach.

·       Supervise the delivery of high-quality care for your caseload of clients in their homes.

·       Provide mentorship, supervision, educational, and practice support to your care staff teams in their places of work.

·       Actively participate in the direct care of your clients in their homes, providing safe, effective, high-quality, and compassionate care.

·       Be part of the on-call rota as required.

 

Care, Therapy, and Management

 

·       Actively case manage clients and their care and staff teams to monitor and address all issues or changes, ensuring holistic and client-centred care.

·       Act as a role model in all clinical practice, demonstrating compassionate and dignified care, and upholding the principles of patient safety, privacy, and dignity.

·       Promote positive risk management and use clinical experience and judgment.

·       Work flexibly within the client’s home environment according to their wishes.

·       Recognise any changes in the patient’s condition, acting appropriately using clinical judgment.

·       Ensure care plans, activities, and risk assessments are accurate and reflective of the needs of the client caseload.

 

Training and Development

 

·       Responsible for care staff training and assessment.

·       Track clinical skill and client-specific training, following up where required.

·       Deliver training to staff in practice and in the office, assessing competency using a structured approach and documenting outcomes.

·       Accountable for your own professional practice, responsible for acquiring, developing, and maintaining competencies and skills.

·       Recognise and address your own limitations and learning needs by organising training, accessing available courses, and learning from other professionals.

·       Work collaboratively with staff, supporting them through the assessment process.

·       Interpret best practices from experience, colleagues, and networking, applying them to promote safe, caring, and effective care.

·       Support staff and provide a safe environment for all aspects of care supervision, reflection, and spot checks to aid learning and development.

·       Address poor practice sensitively, following up with training and action plans.

 

Information Technology & Administration

 

·       Learn to use various innovative company care, communications, and technology systems.

·       Process accurate information, document, and update relevant care systems.

·       Manage your own diary around role commitments, ensuring quality targets are met.

·       Actively engage with the development and use of company systems to aid the provision of high-quality care for clients and create a supportive and responsive environment for all staff.

 

Communication

 

·       Communicate, deliver, and present training plans to staff at all levels.

·       Be approachable and facilitate trusting and supportive relationships with staff.

·       Forge strong partnerships with staff and form strong teams.

·       Impart company caring values and objectives.

·       Adapt communications to suit the learner, client, and need.

 

Experience and Attributes

 

·       Share company values.

·       Passionate about high-quality care.

·       Previous Field Supervision, mentoring or training experience.

·       Proficient in spoken and written English

·       Confident to drive in UK with valid Driving license, preferably with access to own car

·       Organised, efficient, and driven to help the team maintain high standards.

·       Have a can-do and flexible working style and able to work well under pressure.

·       Proficient in using a range of computer and app systems.

·       Adept at using new apps and quick to learn how they work together.

·       Excellent organisational and communication skills.

·       Comfortable in people’s homes and able to adapt to a non-clinical environment.
