This role's purpose is to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, both internally and for our clients. This includes aligning client policies, processes, and procedures to best practices and ensuring that any network that requires it follows the principles of Secure by Design.


Responsibilities


·      Assess, maintain, and mitigate security risks including defining controls.

·      Ensure that our internal and client systems follow the principles of SBD and are fully managed throughout their full lifecycle.

·      Security Documentation is written, approved, and maintained to support the SBD process. Consultants must work closely with projects to ensure that assessments are carried out according to the SPD process and that supporting documentation is written to a high standard. To write and maintain System Operating Procedures (SyOPs) for each system.

·      Assessing client needs and supporting client engagements.

·      Support the design and implementation of security operating models, process mapping and service design.

  • To be a primary point of expertise for any Security issues.

·      Build successful working relationships with team members, key clients, and stakeholders that improves the value of the security services Salus offers.

·      To conduct periodic audit reviews of systems and processes. Reporting on control effectiveness and the development of local policies in context of improving security posture.

  • To become a CISM / CAF/ NIST expert as part of your own learning and development.
  • To regularly undertake cyber exercising.

·      To keep abreast of industry developments and relevant security frameworks.

·      To be able to implement ISO27001 and other frameworks with the support of the Information Security Lead.

·      There may be a requirement to work outside normal office hours on occasions to meet work deadlines.

·      We may reasonably amend your role responsibilities in line with business changes and needs.


Additional


·      Full-time, permanent role (M-F).

·      Mainly remote working with travel to client sites as required by the business and client.

·      UK based role. You will be required to evidence current and valid permission to work in the UK (5-year checkable history).

·      Due to the nature of our work, successful candidates for this role will need to have SC clearance prior to starting with us and be willing and able to undergo and achieve DV clearance.
