We are working with a contemporary art gallery based in London who are looking to bring on a Gallery Manager to oversee the team

The ideal candidate for this role will have previous management experience within a gallery setting, alongside experience in fine art shipping.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the gallery and ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with the installation and deinstallation of shows.
- Organise private views and events at the gallery.
- Coordinate with external suppliers for exhibitions.
- Liaise with accountants for financial compliance.
- Train gallery staff when required.
- Develop relationships with clients, collectors, and artists and attend and assist at fairs.
- Manage and update the artwork database and conduct gallery inventory checks.
- Support post-sale and fair logistics.
- Prepare consignment, exclusivity, and loan agreements.
Requirements:
- Previous gallery management or coordination experience is a must-have for this role.
- Experience with art logistics and shipping is also required for this position.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle physical tasks for exhibition setup.
- Attention to detail and financial awareness.
- Passion for contemporary design.
- Proficient in Excel and database management.
