Baltic Apprenticeships are working closely with our client, they are on the hunt for an IT Apprentice to join their rapidly growing team. As an IT Apprentice you will be fully immersed in the industry, you will be tasked with collaborating with the customer support team, providing 2nd line technical support, offering internal IT Support, assisting team members with software and network issues and much more. You will be supported throughout your by the Operations Director and a specialist coach from Baltic Apprenticeships, you will have access to industry expert knowledge to give you all the tools to build a successful career in IT

In this role, youll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician Qualification delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Demonstrate a level of understanding of the system under support and gain an understanding of how customers use the products
  • Collaborate with the customer support and development team and provide 2nd line technical support for their SaaS product, troubleshooting issues and escalating them as necessary
  • Offer internal IT Support, assisting team members with software and network issues
  • Work with the senior team to monitor and maintain their IT infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure and run efficiently
  • Participate in the development and deployment of cloud infrastructure solutions
  • Work closely with various teams to improve their IT processes and support capabilities

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours&Benefits:

  • £18,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
  • 28 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • Opportunity for remote working following the completion of the apprenticeship

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • A strong interest in technology
  • Basic understanding of IT principles and technologies
  • Excellent problem solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Grade 4 in GCSE Maths and Grade 5 in GCSE English
