Role Summary:

We are recruiting for a talented Womenswear Footwear Buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be fashion obsessed with a keen sense of taste and excellent aesthetic judgement.


We are seeking someone who already possess good brand awareness. Whether through first hand product experience as a customer, or via knowledge and research you’ll join with a solid awareness of our current positioning and be able support future visions.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Working in close collaboration with the CEO, Production Managers, Merchandisers and Designers you will be responsible for building our footwear offering, ensuring the range compromises of key wearable silhouettes in truly unique designs.
  • Ensuring the smooth running of the footwear product development process whilst maintaining schedules and key deadlines
  • Communicate financial results, forecasts, and action plans to the wider business
  • Use the WSSI to make informed and strategic decisions
  • Ensure relevant trends and fashion are translated appropriately for our brand and customer
  • Provide a high degree of input on product and competitor activity
  • React to changes in demand and logistics
  • Ensure products are delivered to our retail stores and warehouses both in the UK and internationally in time for new releases
  • Attend trade events and supplier visits where required
  • Negotiate with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers when required. Working in collaboration with the other buyers to ensure effective management of a strong ethical supply chain
  • Responsible to oversee all visual merchandising ensuring this is delivered in line with our standard
  • Consistently ensuring any growth opportunities are identified within the product range


Requirements:


  • Degree in related subject
  • An exceptional understanding of Womenswear fashion with knowledge and feel for what works and how to grow a business profitably
  • At least 3 years experienced in a similar role - within footwear
  • Have experience in visual merchandising, in both online and retail ideally
  • Have strong product selection skills and display exceptional taste levels.
  • Strong analytical mind set and ability, with proven experience in an analytical role
  • To be able to problem solve & make decisive decisions
  • Be able to effectively analyse and create actionable insights
  • Strong communicator
  • You have proven ability to build, lead and manage teams
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple deliverables with hard deadlines
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, thriving in a fast-paced, high growth environment
