About You

Nobody's Child prides itself on the quality of our responsible product. We are now looking for an experienced Head of Quality Control to lead the team of garment technicians across all product categories. You will be an experienced and accomplished all rounder technologist, with a proven track record in own label development, and experience in managing a small team of experienced and budding techs.

You will provide expertise for the Buying and Design teams from initial sample through to production - including garment fitting, product construction and of course, sustainable component/fabric innovation - a key component to our brand. With our customer at the heart of everything you do - you will lead on what good looks like, ensuring nothing but the best in product.

Day to day, you could be:

  • Leading and Managing the end to end quality process from supplier to end NC customer.
  • Act as main point of contact for quality with our Warehouse in Milton Keynes.
  • Identifying and implementing best practice standards within the clothing and soft accessories QA department.
  • Working collaboratively with the sustainability team to continue to drive the use of sustainable fabrics and certifications.
  • Developing effective methods to communicate testing requirements and product quality standards, ensuring that all products meet legal requirements, adhere to quality standards, are fit for purpose and importantly exceed customer expectations
  • Ensuring effective communication with the Buying, Merchandising, Design, Warehouse, and Stores teams.
  • Leading and supporting during fit sessions three times a week.
  • Reviewing product design briefs, to support efficient sampling.
  • Communicating the quality standard expectations to our suppliers effectively, ensuring that responses are received, quantified and recorded throughout the development process.
  • Identifying and articulate key quality performance indicators to suppliers in order to build relationships, improve sampling performance and production quality.
  • Ensuring QA NC supplier manuals are clear, succinct and in line with NC brand guidelines.
  • Collaborating with external packaging consultants to ensure labelling and international requirements (where applicable) are met, are fit for purpose and cost effective.

To be successful in this role, you'll:

  • Have around 10+ years of Garment Tech management experience working for a fast paced retailer.
  • Be an inspiring leader and champion of quality alongside responsible product.
  • Have experience working across various product categories.
