We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join our team and provide crucial support across our Experiences & Vacation Rentals business units. The role will be responsible for spearheading the regulated Payment Institution business in the UK, which offers an exciting opportunity to work in a marketplace environment with high transaction volumes. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Accounting overseeing payment operations in the EU and the UK, this role will require collaborating closely with counterparts in the EU and the US, as well as engaging in cross-functional business partnerships with product, engineering, legal, and other departments.

Responsibilities:

This role will involve supporting all aspects of the Payment Institution business, which will require effective management of internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the financial performance of the UK operation, including monthly reconciliation of management and statutory reporting packs.
  • Maintaining oversight and conducting detailed reviews of safeguarding processes, with final responsibility for daily reconciliation sign-off.
  • Reporting accurate financial ledgers in compliance with local and US GAAP principles.
  • Ensuring full compliance with regulatory capital and safeguarding obligations.
  • Serving as the designated point of contact with the FCA.
  • Timely preparation and submission of regular returns to the FCA as required.
  • Cultivating a robust working relationship with corporate finance and accounting teams.

Who You Are:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) with prior financial control and management reporting experience.
  • At least 8 years of professional experience, ideally including previous roles in regulated financial services businesses.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced e-commerce environment is advantageous.
  • Commercially astute, with an exceptional eye for detail and strong creative problem-solving skills.
  • FCA Approved or possessing previous FCA approval.
  • Proficiency and experience with PSD2 regulations.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding principles.
  • Experience in regulated financial services businesses, particularly in payments.
