We are a cell therapy and advanced biologics company with laboratories based in Melksham, United Kingdom. We are a small team who are passionate about developing cell and biological therapies for both animal and human health conditions. Our business is currently expanding our research and development, manufacturing and analytical capabilities.

We’re hiring a full-time laboratory technician to maintain and support our research and development and GMP manufacturing facilities. 

About The Role

The laboratory technician is a dynamic role with diverse responsibilities within an innovative biotech. Training in working within a quality-controlled environment will be provided. The laboratory technician plays an important role in supporting the efficient and compliant functioning of BioDivide’s scientific research and manufacturing facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to develop valuable and transferable skills within the life science industry.

Role Responsibilities

·        Follow laboratory safety protocols and procedures

·        GMP cleanroom cleaning and maintenance

·        Environmental monitoring

·        Stock control of consumables and reagents

·        Maintain laboratory equipment

·        Assist laboratory quality control activities

·        Support R&D and manufacturing activities

Skills needed for the role

We are looking for a committed, passionate individual with a willingness to learn. The candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, possess good communication skills and have a strong attention to detail. A methodical and conscientious approach to tasks is ideal. Flexibility and ability to work independently is key as duties and tasks can change depending on requirements.  Public transport is limited in the area. Local candidates or the ability to drive are preferred. 

What is the working environment like?

The facility is a large building comprising of laboratories, offices and a warehouse area which includes two newly installed cleanroom laboratories. The role requires working within office areas, general research laboratories as well as within a quality assured cleanroom environment. We are a small and friendly team whose focus is on cooperation and striving for excellence to drive the business forward and make it a success.
