Lime Talent is delighted to be partnering with an Innovative Food & Beverage business who are looking for a Product Innovation Technologist. As a Product Innovation Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the development and launch of new Food & Beverage products. You will be responsible for researching, designing, and testing new products, ensuring they align with market trends and consumer preferences. This position requires a blend of creativity, technical knowledge, and project management skills

This business is centered around creativity and they partner with some very well known brands, whilst working here you will get exposure to a variety of projects so we are looking for someone agile who is passionate about product development and is willing to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on Customer Briefs to develop recipes within the company and customer guidelines
  • Prepare samples in a hygienic and accurate manner
  • Prepare paperwork to accompany samples (Labels, Submission Sheets, Sample Advice Notes)
  • Work with Procurement and Technical Teams to assess new raw materials
  • Following the Lab Health and Safety procedures, use equipment in an appropriate manner
  • Understand relevant factory processes and attend factory trials and product launches.
  • Assist with shelf-life trials to set microbiological and organoleptic standards
  • Support with visits from customers
  • Liaise with internal teams (operations, supply chain, commercial and technical)
  • Support the Innovation Team in projects as required

Key Requirements

  • Educated to degree level in Food Science or Technology or similar
  • Industry experience (including as part of a degree)
  • Beverage experience
  • Knowledge of Food hygiene and HACCP
  • Great communicator
  • Willing to learn and develop
