Role Summary:

As a Marketing & Sales Data Analyst, you will be integral to enabling the business to become more data driven, allowing for a better understanding of the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and customer behaviour whilst maintaining and enhancing our database and e-commerce platforms (WordPress with WooCommerce). Positioned under the Head of Marketing, your role extends to delivering comprehensive data analytics to guide company-wide decision-making and product and website enhancements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement data-driven marketing campaigns to refine digital strategies that elevate brand presence and drive customer acquisition.
  • Maintain and optimize the AWS-hosted database and ensure seamless integration and functionality of SQL databases with our reporting tools (e.g., QuickSight and PowerBI).
  • Utilise SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyse large datasets from various sources including customer databases, market trends, and digital marketing platforms
  • Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights on marketing performance metrics such as ROI, SEO performance, conversion rates, and customer acquisition
  • Manage daily updates and maintenance of our e-commerce website, focusing on product listing accuracy, user experience and new product pages.


Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in managing databases, e-commerce platforms, and executing data analytics
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis
  • Strong technical proficiency in SQL, AWS, QuickSight, WordPress, and WooCommerce.
  • Analytical mindset with a capability to conduct thorough research and data analysis to drive business growth and market competitiveness
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of working effectively within a team and across departments to meet business objectives


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Business Analytics, or related field
  • Proficiency in additional analytics and marketing tools such as Google Analytics and HubSpot is advantageous
  • WSET Level 1 or above is preferred but not essential
