The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.

About the Role:

We are seeking a multi skilled and experienced Accounts Manager to join our organisation. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth running of the Accounts department, including preparing payroll (processed via payroll bureau), treasury management and statutory returns.


Responsibilities:

  • Management of Accounts team – 3 Accounts assistants.
  • Treasury Management – Payment approvals and bank reconciliations.
  • Monthly Payroll – Summarising/Checking/Paying payroll/posting journals and paying CSA/other deductions of Earnings.
  • Processing weekly timesheets allocating costs to correct projects.
  • Maintenance and Management of Fixed Asset register.
  • Monthly Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Creating and managing projects within Sage 200, maintaining correct contract values and contract budgets.
  • Quarterly VAT returns for 3 companies.
  • Monthly CIS returns and issuing monthly subcontractor statements.
  • National Statistic returns.


Qualifications:

Financial experience within a Engineering/Manufacturing/construction background.


Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of financial compliance and regulation specifically within CIS.
  • Passionate and confident with continuous improvement ethos.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent IT and financial systems skills.
  • Experience of working in a cost-conscious environment.
  • Ability to perform assignments independently with supervision and guidance as required.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
