We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle various driving tasks, including flatbed operations.
*Responsibilities*
* Operate a lorry to transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
* Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items for transport.
* Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete necessary paperwork.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, prioritising safety at all times.
* Assist with basic maintenance of the vehicle as needed, reporting any issues promptly.
*Requirements*
* Experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
