The Headlines

Sharp’s is proud of consistently turning out the highest quality beer to our customers and there is currently an exceptional opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the team. This individual will be responsible for the maintenance of all production and non-production facilities and equipment, across the site, to ensure we are able to continue turning out award winning beers.

The Responsibilities

  • Fully support the engineering operation including - safety, quality, performance
  • Preventative maintenance of process equipment, utilities, and packaging lines.
  • Fault diagnosis and reactive maintenance on process equipment, utilities, and packaging lines.
  • Compliance with all relevant EH&S standards, legislation, and site quality procedures necessary for the safe delivery of your tasks and brewery operations
  • Provide support with continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proactively manage time and prioritise workloads to ensure business continuity.

The Qualifications

  • A recognised formal apprenticeship in either mechanical or electrical engineering or an equivalent engineering qualification.

Skills

  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance & engineering reliability methodologies
  • Experience in fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment on automated equipment.
  • Sound knowledge of manufacturing principles, tools, and techniques.
  • Confident communicator able to develop good working relationships.
  • A will to develop and learn new skills and processes.

Hours of work

This role is working on a shift basis, which 12 hour shifts, including both days and nights, it is on a 4 on 4 off basis, and includes weekends.
