IT Support Technician 2nd Line

Rate: £26,780per annum
This is an exciting opportunity to join our IT Department where youll play a crucial role in providing generalist IT support across our rapidly growing organisation.
As an IT Support Technician 2nd Line with Exemplar Health Care, youll take ownership of various incidents to perform a technical diagnosis and achieve a resolution, both remotely and on-site.
Based in Rotherham, this role also requires occasional travel to multiple offices and will form part of an out of hours on-call rota.

About the role
This role will play a major part in ensuring the smooth running of the IT infrastructure across the business and no two days will be the same.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- completing wide range of 2nd line tickets
- answering support calls when 1st line are engaged
- visiting care homes on occasion
- assisting with software related company projects
- sever & 365 administration
- creating various IT reports
- installing / configuring hardware.
About you
Above all, youll be someone who identifies with our values of fun, integrity, responsiveness, success and teamwork.
Youll also have:
- proven 2nd line IT is essential (3 years minimum)
- knowledge and experience of Helpdesk software
- strong experience with Windows, Microsoft office and Microsoft 365
- knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, LAN, WAN, VLAN, DHCP
- excellent customer service skills
- strong work ethic and self-motivation with the ability to work under pressure
- windows Server Operating Systems (2016, 2019) and Microsoft Exchange experience
- experience installing / configuring PCs & Laptops
- VMware, router / Firewall experience
- full clean driving licence and access to a car
- ability to lift moderate weights such as computer display units.

- iOS / iPad
- SolarWinds Web Help Desk
- veeam (Backups)
- sophos
- barracuda Cloud email security
- SQL
- MDM experience
- Mac OS
- Draytek firewalls.
Qualifications
- GCSES at Grade C or above in English & Mathematics or equivalent
- industry Standard computing qualifications such as Microsoft and CompTIA, CompTIA Network+, Security+, Server+ or other certification
- MCSA/MCSE qualifications (desirable)
- ITIL Foundation Qualification (desirable).
