Our client, an International Bank, is looking for a Head of Credit Admin Services - Banking to join their team in London. This role is 5 days per week in the office.

The purpose of the role is to facilitate a seamless process under the credit administration function, direct managerial responsibility for managing the credit administration function, monitor and control risk exposures within established sanction limits and protect the bank and its customers from operational risk and fraud. Also to provide leadership in Credit Administration function, ensure compliance with the current GHIB policies and manuals and setting up of reports to ensure a clear limit and utilisation process is delivered.

Key responsibilities / accountabilities:

Effective and Efficient Loan Book Monitoring and Administration

Use of relevant reports for effective Exposure Management

Effective implementation of Limits

Effective booking, monitoring and management of Credit Exposures

To provide good leadership to the Credit Administration function

To maintain effective communications between departments in the delivery of the Credit Administration function

To ensure that The Credit Administration principles are embraced and internalised by other team members.

Ensure all reports are accurate and notify of any exposure excesses daily.

Check for notifications and advise daily on all delivery systems for any communication and instructions and authorisations from Customers, Clients and Agents.

Check, investigate and balance in a timely fashion the Customer Exposure Reports, Overdrawn Accounts report, identify any anomalies and seek remedial action from the respective departments. When this is completed to communicate to management directly.

Check and attend daily to all activities under Loan book administration. Making sure that the correct procedures and sign offs are met before disbursement of facility.

Check and monitor all facilities and conditions subsequent and follow all email and other communication trails.

Investigate and advise of any anomalies or any issues in the department.

Daily check and attend to all reconciliations.

Attend to Risk Participation and loan Record Reports. Be abreast with all Credit reviews and facility documentation and all manuals. Additionally responsible for complying with Credit policy, administration manuals and other related policies.

Verification of all fees and transactions before any entries passed are forwarded on to the Head of Finance for Authorisation.

Verify reconciliations in a timely manner.

Make sure records and documents are kept safe at all times.

To attend to all issues raised in previous year Audit Report and ensure any issues are resolved and further controls put in place to mitigate any risks in the current year.

Provide leadership in the Credit Administration function.

Member or attendee to various committees as and when advised.

Skills and Experience:

Demonstrable leadership and coaching skills.

Customer and results focused.

Strong Analytic skills

Knowledge of regulations and legislation surrounding key business areas

A minimum of 10 years experience within a senior credit administrations function.

Experience and understanding of dealing with loan facilitation.

Knowledge of regulations and legislation surrounding key business areas.

Experience of managing employee relations and performance matters

Degree or Equivalent
