Job Summary
Macdonald & Company are delighted to be working with a Property Company based in London that are seeking a Deputy Head of Commercial Property Management. As the Deputy Head of Commercial Property Management, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing an extensive portfolio of commercial assets and will work in conjunction with the Head of Commercial Property Management, to be responsible for managing a team of 20 property and facilities managers and ensuring the smooth operation of the portfolio. The role will be based out of the clients London office 5 days per week.Key Responsibilities:Provide strong leadership and direction to a team of property and facilities managers, ensuring optimal performance and fostering a positive work environment.Oversee the day-to-day operations of the commercial properties, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.Develop and implement strategic plans to maximise the value and performance of the commercial property portfolio.You will assist the Head of the department in day to day refurbishment and tenant alterationsYou will have responsibility for your own portfolio of assets to manage on a day to day basisWork closely with the Commercial lettings team to ensure the vacant unitsbuildings are in a lettable conditionWork with the residential management team, where there are residential as well as commercial tenants.Proactively identify and address property management issues, such as maintenance, repairs, and tenant concerns, to maintain high tenant satisfaction and property performance.Manage property budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, ensuring cost-effective operations and maximising revenue opportunities.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in commercial property management, applying new knowledge and innovative solutions to enhance our operations.Qualifications and Experience:At least 10 years property management experience, with ideally a few years in a leadership capacityBachelor's degree in Real Estate, Property Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Extensive experience in commercial property management, with a demonstrated track record of managing large portfolios and delivering results.Strong leadership and managerial skills, with experience in leading and motivating a team of property and facilities managers.Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans to optimise property performance and value.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders, tenants, and service providers.Sound knowledge of commercial property regulations, leasing practices, and financial management principles.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.LocationLondonSalary75,000Job TypePermanentReference67819
