Role Details

  • Title: Electrician
  • Reporting to: Team Leader
  • Location: UK Bournemouth
  • Effective Date: ASAP start
  • Job Type: Permanent Contract


Purpose The Electrician will work across various production areas to address electrical needs, ensuring that production deadlines are met efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards. There will be 6-10 weeks’ worth of training in our Bournemouth site in a buddy system (Monday to Friday).



Key Responsibilities


  • Execute tasks across all aspects of production to meet deadlines.
  • Manufacture electrical harnesses, components, and control modules.
  • Conduct tests and inspections of electrical assemblies.
  • Install electrical components into units.
  • Fit aircraft galleys with required electrical setups.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams accurately.
  • Achieve production targets and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety regulations at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area.
  • Propose improvements to enhance production flow.
  • Report issues to line management promptly.
  • Manage the upkeep of supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to meet quality and safety standards.


Knowledge, Education, and Skills


Knowledge:

  • Proven experience in a production environment, preferably with 3-5 years in aerospace.
  • Proficient with MRP systems and good IT skills.


Education:

  • Time-served apprenticeship in electrical engineering is preferred.


Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Keen attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong commitment to Health and Safety.
  • Open to giving and receiving feedback to foster a positive team environment.
  • Experience with manufacture of electrical harnesses, components, control modules, crimping, harness making and loop building.


Other Material Requirements

  • Flexibility to work at different sites as needed.
  • Willingness to work additional hours to meet production goals.
