Senior Project Manager / Head of Construction

Reporting to: Construction Director
Our client has established itself as a leader in both traditional construction and design and build, with a strong reputation for excellent service and a commitment to ongoing innovation. As they continue on our path of success, they are looking for a talented individual to play a pivotal role in securing and delivering projects, and nurturing the growth of their delivery team.
Responsibilities:
- Be a key member of the leadership team for our client, collaborating with the Project Director and the Head of Design Operations in steering the business forward.
- Establish and build the delivery team for our client, overseeing construction managers and later, additional project managers. In due course, recruit a Technical Services Manager to the team, with interim support from our client's other divisions.
- Serve as the project manager on larger projects during the growth phase.
- Enhance, develop, and implement delivery standards for our client in alignment with industry standards, processes, and procedures.
- Ensure rigorous adherence to high levels of health and safety and sustainable practices across all our client sites.
- Drive continuous improvement in working practices, efficiency, quality, and defect management.
- Act as a champion for industry-specific tools and technologies.
- Provide regular reports to the our client Board on delivery metrics.
- Empower construction managers to work independently and uphold high standards across all on-site activities.
- Assist in new business development, tendering, and client account management, collaborating with the our client leadership team and the preconstruction/new business team within other divisions.
- Contribute to diversifying our supply chain and foster strong relationships with subcontractors.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to achieve year-on-year growth in our client's turnover and GP in line with targets.

- Deep knowledge of both building fabric and technical services.
- High level of commercial acumen.

- Attention to detail with a rigorous, process-driven approach.
