CAMHS Initial assessment Nurse

The post holder will be a qualified mental health Nurse [CAMHS background] with NMC registration. Be able to Identify, assess and organise interdisciplinary approaches to risk and decision making in Mental healthcare. To have Brief therapy skills using CBT framework to carry out Solution Focused Therapy & Psycho-educative approaches in facilitating Recovery work for service users.

Responsibilities:

To carry out IA and a robust mental health assessment, risk assessment followed by a risk management plan on all young people and children referred to CAMHS. The suitable candidate must have substantive CAMHS experience to work in a front door busy service.

The post holder will be a nurse with appropriate professional or regulatory body (NMC). They will have clinical experience working with children and young people with emotional wellbeing and mental difficulties, they will have significant experience of delivering clinically robust mental health assessment, risk assessment and management.
