Magento Developer (Adobe Commerce) - Hybrid (Trowbridge)- £550 (outside of IR35)

This is an exciting opportunity for a contract role within a multi-million-pound, rapidly growing FMCG company.

The company works with many clients, taking product orders through their online service. They are experiencing an innovative period of digital transformation, delivering a modern, secure and consistent approach to software development. As part of the change, they are looking to bring internal oversight to our new strategic commerce capabilities using Adobe Commerce Cloud.

They require an Adobe Commerce Lead, who have substantial backgrounds in Adobe Commerce (Magento) and a proven track record of providing architectural guidance on E-commerce solutions. The position will be involved in the IT team, reporting to the software development manager. The candidate will work with development partners, becoming hugely influential in shaping the future of the digital commerce platforms.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

Validate and refine existing solution architecture and help create a technical strategy for Adobe commerce.

  • Help shape and implement a robust software development lifecycle to ensure streamline, efficient, secure, modern and compliant processes.
  • Review and document current software development lifecycle, highlighting areas for alignment with industry best practice.
  • Help to create secure development environments for the company to work with third party development partners.
  • Stay in-step with industry trends and advances in Adobe Commerce technologies.
  • Provide recommendations for strategic direction.
  • Offer leadership and technical guidance on existing and future ecommerce platform implementations.
  • Advocate for a ‘configuration first’ methodology.

Candidate Experience required:

Technical experience in Adobe Commerce (Magento) platforms.

  • Strong understanding of E-commerce best practices.
  • Demonstrable experience with modern software development practices.
  • Familiar with agile principles, how they improve software delivery.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Location: Hybrid- remote 2 days/ head office (Trowbridge) 3 days.

Salary: £550 p/d outside of IR35

Duration: 3 months (rolling).
