We currently require an experienced Section Engineer to join our Major Projects Team working on the Hylton Castle Substation project in Sunderland.
Duties include:
As a Section Engineer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of this essential infrastructure project. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing Engineering Activities - Oversee day-to-day engineering activities, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards and within project timelines.
- Technical Leadership - Provide technical guidance and support to site teams, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
- Quality Control - Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure all works are delivered to the specified standards.
- Collaboration - Work closely with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to coordinate and streamline project activities.
- Problem Solving - Identify and resolve any technical issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
What we are looking for:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar engineering role, ideally within infrastructure or substation projects.
- Strong technical skills and a thorough understanding of engineering principles.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to quality and safety.
