Who is the business?
Zanda is partnering with a BioTech Start-up that is on a mission to offer sustainable and affordable products to the market. The business has assembled an incredibly impressive senior leadership team, and in recent years has raised significant Seed & Series A rounds from high profile investors.
They now need to on-board an experienced Fractional Chief Financial Officer who can act as a strong co-pilot to the CEO in all areas of strategic planning, and ultimately lead in the successful Series B raise.
Experience you will gain:
- Serving as a strategic partner and financial advisor to shape the overall direction of the company.
- Lending a financial perspective to the evaluation of key strategic partnerships and guiding business development, financing, and strategic options.
- Initiating, advising, negotiating, valuing, and critiquing all financial contracts and arrangements.
- Overseeing the company’s financial plans, policies and accounting practices, including treasury, budgeting, consolidation, audit, tax, and insurance.
- Oversight of financial operations, including review of financial statements (income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements), and the reporting of operational results to board and investors.
- Evaluation of and support in fundraising activities, international expansion.
What background should you have before you press apply
- Strategic and business-minded CFO.
- Proven experience with fundraising.
- Broad focus across FP&A, investor relations, financial regulation, and accounting.
- Strong reputation as high value financial executive.
- Excellent external networking, relationship, and presentation skills.
- Past work in an entrepreneurial life sciences company, preferably in a small to mid-sized organisation.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to nurturing and developing people.
- Knowledge of U.S. accounting practices and regulation (i.e., SEC filings)
