What will you be doing?

We are looking for someone to develop and maintain strong relationships with UK media. A key part of the role is to plan, develop and implement the media strategy for the Renault brand, including for models pre- and post-launch to maximise press coverage. You will manage incoming media contact and enquiries and maintain detailed campaign and budget plans. A core responsibility is to represent the company at international and national media, public and staff events whilst overseeing and managing our graduate Press Officer. You will plan and brief press releases which promotes all the activities of the Renault brand, and develop and manage all external communication channels, ensuring consistency and accuracy including press website, photography, press packs, briefing packs, press fleet and event information. The job holder arranges interviews with company executives to maximise positive press coverage, and work 360 degrees across channels such as internal communications to make sure all stakeholders are fully informed about announcements. You will actively contribute to the Renault quarterly commercial activity cycles to ensure that the communications strategy contributes to the Company’s objectives and manages external agencies that support the work of Renault PR including product placement.

Success will be measured via Share of Voice, Positive Tonality and PR Reach.

Who are you?

The successful candidate will have a full understanding of the UK media landscape and thorough knowledge of the interaction between earned, paid, shared and owned media channels and how to deliver an optimised media relations strategy that integrates multiple channels.

You have strong communication skills with the ability to communicate in a corporate tone relevant to the product and brand​. Commercial knowledge and awareness, along with a highly flexible approach to work​ are essential. You offer great diplomacy, influencing, organisation and planning skills​ and are self-motivated, able to work independently, under pressure, to tight deadlines. You have high attention to detail​, are a Team player​ and are excellent at Budget management​.
