The Role

The NPD Coordinator will play a key role in the NPD team. Having worked in personal care development previously, she/he/they will be enthused by skincare and have a keen interest in working on products from ideation to production.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in day-to-day product development management from concept creation to production, working closely with the NPD & Production Manager.
  • Establish good working relationships with key suppliers including packaging and manufacturing partners. 
  • Coordinate and monitor product CPAs, inclusive of lead times and management of third parties to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Coordinate all development sampling, inclusive of formula testing panels and clinical samples and partake in submission reviews with NPD & Production Manager.
  • Monitor development testing with labs/manufacturers, ensuring reports are received and reviewed in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate packaging sourcing, feeding into the COG/MOQ management of NPD products.
  • Update and oversee relevant NPD development trackers as part of development project management. 
  • Organise the internal testing panel for new developments (including distribution of samples, monitoring and presenting responses) to inform NPD.
  • Work closely with the design team in the completion and production of packaging, managing submissions and proofreading. 
  • Liaise closely with the Regulatory Compliance Officer to ensure artwork content trackers are complete and up to date.
  • Provide support to the Regulatory Compliance Officer with claims testing requirements.
  • Attend weekly NPD meetings and monitor resulting actions to ensure CPA is on track.
  • Assist with market data collation when scoping new products to inform new project/developments.

Experience

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in NPD within the personal care industry.
  • Have a solid understanding of the development life cycle.
  • Previous experience in the premium skincare market is preferable. 
  • Proactive with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have good market knowledge with a passion for skincare.
  • Excellent organisational skills, managing a multitude of tasks at any given time.
  • Have proven problem solving skills.
  • Good communication skills required for liaising with both internal and external teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.

Annual Basic Salary: £35,000.
