As a GP Locum, you will provide high-quality primary care services to our diverse patient population. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and patient-centred care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting consultations, examinations, and assessments of patients presenting with a variety of medical conditions.
  • Diagnosing illnesses and prescribing appropriate treatment plans, medications, and referrals as necessary.
  • Providing preventive care, health education, and lifestyle counselling to promote overall well-being.
  • Managing chronic diseases, monitoring patients' progress, and adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals, to coordinate patient care.
  • Participating in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing professional development activities.
  • Adhering to ethical and professional standards, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
  • Demonstrating empathy, cultural sensitivity, and respect for patients' autonomy and choices.
  • Contributing to the efficient operation of the practice, including administrative tasks and rostered on-call duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree from a recognized institution and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience working as a GP in primary care settings, with proficiency in managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new environments and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver's license and access to transportation for travel between practice locations (if applicable).
