We are looking for a Project Manager to lead GRS projects and represent De La Rue with high value customers, ensuring contractual milestones are delivered. You will be managing the creation and delivery of project outputs within tolerance levels (time, cost and quality), and taking ownership of the project or workstream to be delivered. You will need to direct and motivate the project team, planning and monitoring progress, eliminating ambiguity around project scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources and risk.

The role can be based at either Gateshead or Basingstoke but there will be occasional travel to other locations too.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take a hands on and active approach to project management, taking ownership and responsibility to deliver

  • Chair project meetings and always work within the agreed framework, adapting to specific customer requirements for governance and reporting

  • Hold the business and stakeholders to account for delivery of project objectives

  • Planning, defining, verifying and managing the scope, timeline, budget, and quality of projects

  • Be accountable for timely communications of status or critical decisions needed from accountable executives

  • Providing oversight throughout project lifecycle from initiation, through to closure

  • Take accountability for engaging stakeholders through the process of delivering projects

  • Identifying, quantifying, prioritizing, and managing delivery risks; develop and manage project risk mitigation plans; invoke mitigation plans and escalate appropriately for significant contingency plan execution as necessary

  • Plan and direct all executive stakeholder & overall project communications; ensure completion of appropriate documentation and distribute to appropriate parties

  • Managing work package leads and/or project teams to achieve project goals and objectives

  • Define activities & dependencies, estimate work effort, develop & manage schedules and report on actual vs. planned work


Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in a change discipline and in-depth knowledge of PM methodologies and Project Lifecycles

  • Educated to degree or Apprenticeship Level 6, or equivalent experience

  • Evidence of management of deliverables/workstreams/projects across matrix teams, covering internal and 3rd Party Suppliers, across different geographical locations

  • Proficient in Office 365, including MS Project.

  • Experienced in risk and issue management

  • Evidence of stakeholder management (internal and external)
