Job Description

Geometry/Meshing Software Developer (24GMSD)

 

Are you a talented Engineering software developer? Are you willing to work at the very heart of a company developing engineering tools including for meshing and geometry manipulation, as we continue to identify and exploit emerging commercial opportunities for our BOXER Software System and BOXERgeom our Digital voxel-based geometry kernel?

 

We are looking for someone with good understanding of Geometry or Meshing concepts. A person with proven software development experience and working knowledge in one or more of the below topics would be ideal.

·        Generative design, Topology Optimization

·        Voxelized Digital Geometry

·        Level-Set Methods

·        Mesh Adaptation/Refinement/Smoothing

·        3D Graphics and High-end Gaming

·        Geometry tessellation and 3D Printing

We welcome expertise in various programming languages including C, C++, C# and Python.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

·        As a Software Developer, you will help the team in accelerating BOXER product development

·        You will be required to carry out various development tasks ranging from new development, customer-led improvements, and bug fixes

·        You will be required to work across the domains of meshing, geometry modelling, computational geometry as per the company strategic roadmap


Minimum Education /Experience:

Compulsory

·        Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related field

·        Professional experience in software development - we are looking for someone with at least 3 years of working in this field but would welcome applicants with significantly more experience

·        Primarily, Linux development but familiarity with Windows

 

Desirable Qualifications / Skills

•          Experience in developing large scale graphics/GUI applications

•          Knowledge of Parallel Programming using MPI or OpenMP

•          Familiar with Testing methods and systems

•          Good communication and documentation skills

 

Personal Qualities/Skills

•          Team work and collaboration, but also ability and aptitude for independent working

•          Problem solving and attention to detail

•          Adaptable and able to use initiative
