The main duties will include:

  • To lead the team to achieve their individual goals as well as the wider branch, region, and
  • company objectives
  • Ensure quotations and orders are followed up and processed accurately in a timely manner.
  • Reviewing customer accounts and working with the Finance department to reduce invoices in
  • query and aged debt.
  • Managing supplier relationships and sharing supplier information where appropriate.
  • Maintain existing and develop new customer relationships.
  • To support the Regional Manager in growing and developing the branch.
  • Manage workforce levels and holiday approvals for the branch team
  • Assist the Regional Manager in recruiting new members to the branch when required.
  • Undertake regular team and individual progress meetings.
  • Ensure all team members are fully trained on company processes and procedures.
  • Oversee branch administration ensuring excellent customer service is achieved.
  • Review branch reports regularly and take appropriate action, where required
  • Engage with and support marketing initiatives
  • Work alongside the Business Development team to maximise sales and customer service levels.

The skills required to be successful in this role are:

  • Ability to lead and develop a successful team through coaching, mentoring, and performance
  • management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Industrial Automation and control industry would be
  • advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
  • High level of sales and business acumen
  • Good time management and organisation to meet deadlines and follow through on commitments
  • IT literate (MS Word, Excel & Outlook) and experience in CRM / ERP
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm in all situations
  • Passion for sales combined with the ability to make sound commercial decisions;
  • Ability to embrace and manage change independently
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with our colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
  • Be happy to work in a busy, fast-paced, and varied environment;
  • Forward thinking looking to continually improve the way we do things
