We are seeking an experienced LV/HV Cable Jointer in the Northamptonshire area.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience working within UK Power Networks' EPN (Eastern Power Networks) region and hold the necessary authorisations as an Authorised Person.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform jointing, termination, and installation of LV and HV cables (up to 33kV).
  • Fault finding, diagnostics, and repair of LV/HV cable systems.
  • Work collaboratively with the project teams and report to site managers.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all health and safety guidelines.
  • Conduct site assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards or non-compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including cable jointing and terminations.
  • Ensure work is compliant with UK Power Networks' regulations and standards.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working within UK Power Networks' EPN (Eastern Power Networks) region is essential.
  • Must be an Authorised Person (AP).
  • Proven experience as a Cable Jointer working on both LV and HV networks.
  • Familiarity with UK Power Networks' safety procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Familiarity with other DNO authorisations (UKPN LPN/SPN, SSE, WPD, etc.) is desirable.
  • Experience working in different environments (commercial, industrial, etc.) is desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence.
