Due to growing numbers, Purple Dove recruitment are seeking an experienced Level 2 OR Level 3 Nursery Nurse to join a thriving team and setting in Milton Keynes (MK6)

Salary

£11.50 – £12.50 (dependent on qualification and experience)

Refer A Friend You will receive £500 for every friend who joins our nursery team.

Salary Advance Each one of us faces an emergency from time to time. Chat with your line manager if you are experiencing financial difficulties – it may be possible to arrange a salary advance.
Pension Our workplace pension scheme, is available to all staff. Members receive a minimum 7% contribution from Milton Keynes Christian Centre into their pension fund each month.
Income Protection Employees suffering long-term illness or injury may be eligible to receive 75% of their salary paid for up to 24 months providing financial security and time to consider necessary lifestyle adjustments.
On-going training and development through internal coaching and external training courses.
Death In Service Employees under the age of 74 who have completed their initial probationary period will be enrolled in our death-in-service benefit. It pays out a cash sum equal to 3 x your basic gross salary to your chosen beneficiary if you are in our employment at the time of your death.

The Role:

Building and maintaining excellent relationships with children and their families.
Liaise with parents and other staff members.
To ensure all children are happy and well cared for and their individual needs are being met.
Working to maintain Health & Safety and Safeguarding Practices within the setting.
Creating a fun, safe and warm environment where children can flourish and grow.
Innovating with activities and constantly challenging your children’s learning and development.

Essential Talents:

You must have a warm smiling face that makes every child feel special.
You must be able to laugh at jokes you don’t understand, or don’t find funny
The ability to sing in tune is not necessary, however, the ability to sing out of tune in front of a crowd is essential.
You must be able to distribute warm hugs as required (both to children and teammates).
You possess the skills required to rapidly count the heads of numerous moving small people is of the utmost importance.
You are an expert in finding suitable names for the thousands of snails, worms and ladybirds found, captured, and observed in the garden
You must have the ability to read a ten-page fairytale, upside down, with at least 4 interruptions per page.
You love to dance in the rain, catch snowflakes on your tongue and fly kites in the wind.
You must be prepared to have lots of fun in the workplace. Laughter is something you can expect to engage in for a large part of your working day.
Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special, and important to many young children and their families.

The Ideal Candidate:

The nursery are looking for people who are proactive and work well as part of a team.
Level 2 OR Level 3 in a recognised UK Childcare qualification.
A thorough knowledge of the EYFS, ages and stages of development.
Can demonstrate a high level of communication.
A positive and dedicated attitude and a real passion for childcare and development.
Being able to provide and sustain a caring environment.
