The role
As mentioned, you'll have a varied role and with their extensive capabilities it will ensure your projects are varied. The customers are from within the Defence industry but could vary from OEM's to government programs or tier1 manufacturers requests. There is a focus on client liaison in the role due to the reactive nature and complexity of requests so the variables are traditionally man, materials and machine. You'll have support from a Programme manager and another project manager in the team but until the team expands you'll need to play a very hands on role in the team.

The business
They boast a vast facility and a client base of most the Automotive and Defence industries major players. With changes in recent years this has seen further investment and expansion into new industries, which in turn has created further opportunities for career progression. They offer a strong benefits package with increased pension (10%), various rewards and healthcare schemes.

What you need
As you can imagine for this level of opportunity we are looking for someone highly skilled, not only in terms of Project management but someone who is used to operating at a high level. The main focus of the role is around project management but you'll also need to be commercially aware down the client facing nature of the role. The core industry is Defence so any previous Defence or Government project experience would be ideal. However, if you have worked with a large Defence industry supplier you'll know it takes, a self-starter with credibility and gravitas to deliver within the industry.
