The Opportunity:


Finatal are partnering with is a leading Private Equity backed International Online Education Provider committed to delivering high-quality education to students around the globe. With a focus on innovation and accessibility, we strive to empower individuals through education, providing them with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in today's rapidly evolving world.


The business has significant Private Equity backing, is highly acquisitive and is growing 30-40% YOY. The wider strategy is to drive the business through an exit process.


This role will include working with seasoned strategic finance and non-finance leaders during this process.


The Role:


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of FP&A to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning and analysis, with a proven track record of success in cash flow management, foreign exchange, partnering, handling large datasets, and advanced proficiency in Excel. This role will primarily focus on traditional FP&A functions such as budgeting and forecasting, as well as commercial assessment, building reports on KPIs, analysis, and providing insightful commentaries.



  • Lead the development and execution of the company's financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and optimization strategies to support the company's financial health and growth objectives.
  • Oversee FX risk management and hedging activities to mitigate currency-related risks.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across finance and non-finance functions to drive strategic decision-making and support growth initiatives.
  • Provide insightful analysis and reporting on financial performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Support debt and equity raises, including financial modelling, due diligence, and investor relations activities.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the FP&A function.
  • Mentor and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

The Requirements:



  • Professional Finance Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent; CA/CPA)
  • Proven experience in a senior FP&A role, preferably within the education or technology sector.
  • Strong financial modelling skills and proficiency in Excel; experience with large datasets and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to senior management and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Experience in supporting debt and equity raises, as well as partnering with cross-functional teams on growth projects.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think commercially and drive business performance.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent.
