Job Description

La Bibliotheque in Haggerston, East London, is looking to fill the below positions:


  • Head Chef


  • Pastry Chef (that can also work in the capacity as Sous Chef)


  • Chef de Partie


The menus at La Bibliothèque offer unique and exceptional dishes and drinks. The creative plates with Mediterranean and Japanese inspiration, are made using premium, fresh, raw ingredients, carefully prepared and presented. The à la carte offers diners a balance between classic and experimental dishes, alongside a choice of selected plates paired with a range of premium sake and wine.


The right candidates are expected to have a genuine passion and enthusiasm to provide five-star service to all our guests. These positions will suit a social person whose main drive is to provide an excellent and memorable experience for all guests. 


The ideal candidate for must have strong drive to create new dishes, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and the ability to work in a small team in an open kitchen.

What we offer:

  • Full time position
  • 2-3 days off per week
  • Workplace Pension
  • 28 days Holiday per annum


Salary:

  • Head Chef: £45-£50 per annum + Bonus
  • Pastry/Sous Chef: £38-£45 per annum (depending on experience)
  • Chef de Partie: £33-£36 per annum 


We encourage applicants to familiarise themselves with La Bibliotheque before applying. It is a small 30 cover restaurant, with a small team that requires the full team to be hands on and highly involved in the day to day kitchen operations. 


You must have the right to work in the UK and the Company cannot assist with Sponsorship.
