Position Description:

Durability and Robustness Programme Leader - This role will aim to enhance the customer experience through the design, development, measurement and balance of customer attributes for Jaguar Land Rover vehicles.

The D&R Programme leader role is to ensure all customer expectations for vehicle Durability and Robustness of Jaguar Land Rover vehicles are met or exceeded. This is achieved through attribute target setting & verification using both virtual and physical test methods

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • delivery of all Attribute Requirement targets by Gateway Support the Programme Attribute Team to ensure all technical issues are identified and resolved
  • strategy & delivery planning for the attribute covering CAE, Road Load Data, Vehicle and System rig tests and driven vehicle DV activities
  • with system and component areas to define and maintain cascaded target requirements in support of overall vehicle level targets
  • with component engineers and suppliers as required to drive resolution of engineering issues
  • technical recommendations and test and issue status reports
  • on tasks to ensure all lessons learnt from the current vehicle are captured and fed back to the Programme Attribute Team and progressed as necessary


Skills Required:

  • experience of engineering test activities
  • experience of automotive technologies or systems
  • Management experience


Experience Required:

  • knowledge of vehicle technologies
  • of Durability Strength principles
  • management of complex engineering test activities
  • of problem solving including application of Root Cause Analysis, 8D, DoE etc.
  • of Systems engineering principles and delivery
  • package elements Power Point and Excel


Experience Preferred:

  • Experience of AGILE working principles
  • knowledge CAD visualisation systems e.g. 3Dx, TeamCentre etc.
  • of whole vehicle engineering and cross functional experience
