To oversee the direction of a construction/refurbishment project on a 24 week programme with a further 2 phases of work after this. Interior and exterior works will be carried out at this site.
The trades covered will be as follows:
Exterior: Repointing, Decorating, Guttering works and Lintel replacements
Interiors: Strip out, Decoration, Flooring, Ceilings, Electrical
The candidate must have experience in these sectors.
Must be SMSTS qualified and hold Health and Safety qualifications in construction work, including First Aid training.
They will have to report on progress and be able to intervene if something is causing safety issues, adjust timelines based on the project's progress and regularly communicate project goals to on-site employees and the Project Manager.
The candidate will be on-site every day to oversee the labourers, ensure the sign-in register is up to date for all labourers and anyone attending the site. They must ensure the labourers are conducting their work to a high standard and in compliance with regulations.
The Site Manager must liaise with the Project Manager and Office Manager when materials need to be sourced and ensure all tools are ready and on-site to ensure goals are met.
It is imperative that the Site Manager is in regular contact with the Project Manager and the client's Site Manager. The candidate must be self-motivated have a minimum of 3 years' experience in the sector. They must be able to ensure that proper compliance with building and safety procedures are adhered to.
Ideally you will ideally have experience of CBRE Health & Safety.
