Location: Bradford, with hybrid work arrangement (Average 1 office day per week)

This well-known utilities organization is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join their Cloud Infrastructure team delivering infrastructure services across all areas of the group.

With a strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices, you will be accountable for designing, developing and maintaining effective cloud infrastructure services, defining best practice and managing risks and driving opportunities for innovation.

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for areas such as:

Using tools such as Azure Resource Manager templates, to provision and manage PaaS, SaaS and IaaS resources

Developing and maintaining cloud security guidelines

Deploying and supporting the framework and tools for both Azure and a Hybrid-Cloud platform

Essential Skills include:

Experience of managing Azure

Experience designing, implementing and operating build and release automation and deployment, to Azure or VMware VCF

Hands-on experience of languages including Python, Bash and Powershell

Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools like Ansible, Terraform and Bison

Experience of DevOps principles and practices

Desirable Skills include:

Unix and Windows systems administration skills

Knowledge of Hybrid-Cloud infrastructure, server technologies, storage technologies and backup technologies

Professional qualifications like Microsoft certified Azure Administrator or certified Security Engineer
