CNC Setter Operator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CNC setter/operator within an dynamic & growing industry.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsible for the setting and operating 3 &5 axis CNC milling machines

Work autonomously and under your own initiative
Where required, programme machines in line with technical information provided.
Set up the tooling required to produce parts.
Carry out first offs to ensure parts meet quality and technical requirements specified.
Run product batches to technical requirements to a high standard.
Check dimensions prior to passing for Inspection.

Work to company and industry standards

Comply with quality and regulatory standards.
Adhere to health and safety requirements.
You would also be responsible for your own work area and help as a team to maintain the whole CNC department, by keeping it clear of rubbish, spills wiped, clean and tidy.

CNC Setter/Operator

Skilled CNC Operator / Setter Miller with a minimum of 5 years previous experience

Proven experience setting and operating CNC Mills Heidenhain controls
A relevant qualification
Excellent level of verbal communication, strong organisational skills
Ability to read engineering drawings.
Ability to work to tight tolerances.
Confident to make quick decisions
Have an ability to work to short time scales and effectively self-time manage.
Excellent knowledge of metalworking especially aluminium.
Short run production experience
Knowledge of hypermill and the ability to edit programs would be a distinct advantage but not essential
