Senior Android Software Developer

Contract / Remote / Inside IR35


Tomorrow in association with a Global Digital Media Business is seeking an experienced Senior Android Software Developer to join our talented mobile development team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing high-quality Android applications, implementing new features, optimising performance, and maintaining existing codebases.


Key Responsibilities:


- Implement UI and logic changes according to design specifications

- Review and approve code contributions from other developers

- Refactor and optimise complex codebases for improved maintainability and performance

- Suggest architectural designs and implementation approaches

- Perform performance tuning and optimisation tasks

- Write comprehensive unit and end-to-end tests

- Troubleshoot and fix bugs across various components of the application


Required Qualifications:


- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Android app development

- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Android Studio

- Experience with the full software development life cycle

- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

- Strong verbal and written communication abilities

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively

- Mentoring skills to provide guidance and feedback to junior developers


Preferred Qualifications:


- Experience with UI animations and performance tuning techniques
