My client, a proprietary, algorithmic trading company trading in the cryptocurrency markets who develop all their trading strategies and algorithms in house using a variety of machine learning and AI techniques with a strong focus on data, is looking for a Junior Python Developer.

Overview of the role:

You will be primarily involved in developing our trading systems, which includes the code that deploys their models and executes orders in the market, reconciles trades and positions and interfaces with the various Crypto exchanges they trade on etc. The initial responsibility will be to take over this code and redevelop it including suggesting new and better ways of structuring our systems. After that it will be to incorporate new trading strategies, implement various upgrades etc.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience of working with Python3
  • Particular knowledge and experience of working with high performance libraries such as Numpy and Tensorflow
  • Experience of working with JIT compilers such as Numba
  • Ability to implement best practices particularly with regards to managing code bases, testing code etc
  • Experience interfacing with API’s and Websockets particularly those used by Crypto exchanges
  • Experience working in a Linux environment

Nice-to-haves:

  • Knowledge of GPU programming such as using CUDA
  • Previous experience writing execution trading strategies and managing trading systems
