Trainee Sales Executive

Location: Shrewsbury, Shropshire

Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday

Company Description: One of the UKs leading wholesalers of specialist industrial repair and maintenance products to the manufacturing industry, due to the continuing success of the business and to drive further expansion, now have an exciting opportunity for a confident and energetic Graduate Sales Executive Trainee to join their growing business in Shrewsbury.

What youll be doing

As a Trainee Sales Executive, this is the perfect opportunity to launch your career in customer service and sales in the Electrical Wholesale sector and to broaden your skills.

You will be educated on the company, its products, the market and will benefit from continuous 'on the job' training. The graduate will also have the opportunity to receive professional sales training to equip them with all the tools and skills needed to flourish in a successful sales career. Progression into External Sales and then Profit Centre Management is fully achievable for the right candidate.

Role

  • Serving customers on the telephone
  • Dealing with email enquiries and producing quotes
  • Making proactive sales calls
  • Processing purchase invoices, debit notes and purchase orders
  • Processing customer invoices and credit notes
  • General office administration tasks
  • Serving customers on the trade counter
  • Stock and merchandise the trade counter with profitable add on products
  • Organise promotions and other customer incentives/events
  • Covering in the warehouse and making customer deliveries when needed

Person & skills required

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Natural curiosity and willingness to learn
  • A can do attitude
  • Working alone unsupervised as well as in a team
  • Excellent time keeping
  • A good problem solver
  • Being proactive
  • Ability to take and follow instructions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Driving licence is essential
