Job Description

We're exclusively working with an incredibly successful fast-paced, recruitment business. As part of their continued growth they are seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to join the internal finance team and contribute to financial operations.


The Financial Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team by assisting with various accounting and finance tasks within the business. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to gain valuable experience in accounting and finance, with excellent growth and development while contributing to the continued success.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment collections.
  • Supporting with carrying out the contractor and internal payroll (Ltd and Umbrella)
  • Processing the weekly supplier payments.
  • Assist in reconciling bank statements and credit card transactions and reconciliations.
  • Help prepare financial reports, including monthly statements and expense reports.
  • Assist in data entry and updating financial information into accounting systems.
  • Support senior accounting staff in various month-end tasks and projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of financial tasks.
  • Adhere to established accounting principles and company procedures.


Qualifications and Skills:


  • A degree/qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience in an accounting role, ideally within a recruitment business.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks and RSM InTime.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and work effectively in a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn with a proactive attitude.
