We are looking for an experienced Social Media Strategy Manager, to work across our rapidly growing Digital & Creative team, driving results for our motorsports clients. In this role you will report to the Digital and Brand Lead and work on a number of social media client accounts alongside our fast-growing team. You will be responsible for crafting and delivering social media strategies for our clients, and developing a strong relationship with them so they can rely on our social media expertise to support their business objectives.
This role is a perfect fit for an ambitious individual and creative thinker with a great knowledge of the ever evolving social media trends. You must have the determination to grasp the opportunity to build, expand and shape the role in the direction you lay out. The role provides a perfect blend of experience across both established and modern sports properties.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Multi-platform strategy, planning and execution across key client channels likely to be the following: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter
- Coordinating strategic progress of all projects; presenting and implementing strategic recommendations on key client accounts (content, campaigns, paid, boosting)
- Working closely with the Digital and Brand Lead, and Social Media Manager across all clients to ensure strategies are being implemented successfully
- Consulting with clients and colleagues on social platforms, audience behaviour, content best practices etc.
- Social media content ideation for multiple different client accounts, especially within the Motorsport industry
- Upkeep knowledge of latest news and updates of social media platforms and communicating this to the wider team
- Mentoring and supporting the development of team members in social strategy
- Supporting the wider social media team with new business proposals and pitching where necessary
- Using analytics software (Brandwatch) for social listening, creating regular reports on our client accounts and use learnings to make decisions and improve current strategies
- Occasionally this role will also require social media management skills and involvement with day-to-day deliverables, such as content calendar building, managing clients, content creation and copywriting
Candidate Requirements
\tEssential

- Minimum of 4 years social media strategy experience
- Experience of coordinating and delivering multi-platform social media strategy for sporting clients and rights holders, ideally in an agency setting
- Very strong awareness of global and in-market social media trends
- Experience of building and maintaining client and influencer relationships
- Experience with a fast-paced environment, working with multiple accounts simultaneously
- Proven experience with social media analytics platforms
- Excellent understanding of Formula 1 and other global sports properties
- Possess knowledge in the tenets of traditional marketing & communications and social media’s role within broader marketing structures and objectives
- Possess very strong knowledge and understanding of media landscape
- Maintain excellent writing and English-language skills
- Must be willing to travel according to client needs and annual calendar of sporting events
- Must be willing to work on weekends according to the motorsport calendar (time is given in lieu for each weekend day worked)
- Practise superior time and project management
- Must be a team player with confidence to take the lead when necessary
Desirable
- Experience of Formula 1 with content strategy
- Experience of building and maintaining professional relationships with talent and other major stakeholders
- Experience and understanding on the business side of global sports properties (sponsorship, broadcast, OTT etc.)
- Experience in mentoring or coaching others
