Enstone, United Kingdom Alpine F1 Team Full time

Alpine F1 Team have an excellent opportunity to join our Aerodynamics Software Team, based at our Enstone factory, as a Senior Software Engineer. We are looking for a motivated, self-driven individual to contribute to our relentless pursuit of performance.

The Role

As a senior software engineer, you will have a desire to move towards a management role with responsibility for a small number of developers and the software they produce.  You will work with the other senior members of the Aero Software team to develop and maintain the product roadmap, perform code reviews and undertake development tasks where required.

You will have a collaborative style, working closely with members of the aerodynamic department to ensure that deliverables are on time and to the agreed quality.  To enable this collaboration, you will be required to work from the office at a minimum of 4 days per week.

The candidate will have a degree in computer science or a related field, and recent proven professional experience of software development.

Experience of F1 aerodynamic technologies, particularly the operation of the Wind Tunnel and processes supporting it, are not essential but would be advantageous in this role.

Our technology stack is based in the following tools and technologies, knowledge in one or more of these would be advantageous:

  • Programming languages: Python, C# (.NET 6+)
  • Web: Blazor, React (for legacy apps)
  • Services: gRPC, REST APIs
  • Databases: SQL, NoSQL
  • Other: Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka

The Person

We are looking for individuals with good communication, analytical and problem solving skills who are ready to accept the challenge of working in Formula 1.

The candidate will be organised, methodical, and demonstrate the ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity and articulate challenging concepts in understandable terms. The candidate should also be able to deliver high-quality results, under pressure and within tight timescales.

Our offer to you

In return for your hard work and dedication we offer a team who is truly ambitious with their goals, with a unique and friendly working environment, and a number of benefits including pension, free onsite gym, subsidised canteen, coffee shop and many others.

Alpine Racing strives to be diverse and inclusive, a place where we can all be ourselves. We welcome people from all backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, and experiences. We are committed to making a consistent, top down effort to be role models on what diversity, inclusion and belonging means in society.
