Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled RF Engineer to augment our team. The focus is on the conception and evolution of application-specific Integrated Passive Devices (IPDs). The candidate will take charge of designing and modelling of an array of components, including inductors, transformers, and couplers by means of complex 3D structures in and on glass (or similar) substrates. These components will be optimized for Q, Component Value, Size and other pivotal parameters. The role entails collaborating with our full engineering team to incorporate and enhance performance critical passive RF components within Forefront RF's trailblazing RF system in a package products. The goal is naturally to maximize RF performance while adhering to strict product cost and size constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Design inductors, transformers, couplers, and capacitors on various substrates, with a focus on optimization for Q, Component Value, Size, etc.
- 3D Modelling: Create 3D models of the designed components to facilitate better understanding and further development.
- EM Simulations: Conduct EM simulations to test the performance and reliability of the designed components.
- Simulation Models Creation: Develop simulation models that can be utilized by other RF designers for optimizing structures such as filters.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other RF designers, providing them with the necessary models and simulations for their work.
- Documentation: Document all stages of the design and development process for future reference and patent applications
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in RF engineering, particularly in the design of IPDs
- Proficiency in 3D modelling and EM simulations.
- Strong understanding of RF principles and the design of passive components
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Benefits
- Competitive salary and pension contributions
- Company share option scheme
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
- Weekly company lunches
- Flexible work hours and remote work options
