Position: Senior SATCOM Systems Engineer

Your Role: As a Senior SATCOM Systems Engineer, you will be pivotal in developing next-generation satellite communications systems for defence and government programs. You’ll collaborate with top-tier OEMs and partners, ensuring seamless hardware and software integration. Your role will include:

  • Driving technical objectives and supporting engineering teams.
  • Developing performance reports and maintaining system specifications.
  • Evaluating network solutions and conducting due diligence on existing systems.
  • Supporting equipment testing and integration.
  • Capturing and managing customer requirements.
  • Preparing and presenting technical documentation for key milestones.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders.

What You Bring: Essential:

  • Minimum 5 years in Space/SATCOM within Defence or UK/EU Space programs.
  • Degree in Engineering (mechanical, systems, computer science, or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in systems engineering methodologies (V-Model, Agile).
  • Expertise in producing technical project documentation.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • UK nationality and eligibility for UK SC Clearance. - ESSENTIAL

Desirable:

  • Proficiency in satellite link budgets and end-to-end design.
  • Familiarity with system engineering standards (MBSE, SysML, TOGAF).
  • Knowledge of programming, scripting technologies, and mission engineering software.
  • Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS, Cradle).
  • Understanding of diverse satellite applications (Earth observation, communications, navigation).
  • Competency in MS Office, including MS Project and Visio.
  • Professional registration with an engineering/science institute.
