Investment Director - Growth Equity

Our client is a European growth equity fund investing in leading technology companies and is currently seeking an Investment Director to join their investment team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist partners in crafting investment strategies and in negotiating deals with target companies
  • Sourcing and taking the lead on investment opportunities
  • Monitoring portfolio financial performance and working with management teams
  • Taking leadership roles in also managing existing portfolio companies
  • Managing and mentoring junior team members in multiple roles
  • Clear track to Partner

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of investing experience (ideally VC, growth equity / private equity) in addition to previous investment banking or consulting experience. Technology sector experience is essential.
  • Strong transaction experience (origination and execution) gained within a top-tier venture capital, growth equity or private equity firm.
  • Strong market network
  • Experience overseeing the work of more junior team members
  • Outstanding academic background (education to degree level in the relevant fields) and relevant work experience
  • Excellent teamwork skills within global settings
  • Very ambitious, entrepreneurial, self-directed individual who anticipates the needs of team members and demonstrates good judgement in decision-making
