Job Description

Sonatec are once again engaged as the search partner to a leading FMCG business


Our client seeks to recruit an Engineering Manager for what is an outstanding opportunity, on a residential basis in South West, England (location on request)


The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the engineering functions critical to the plant's operation. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians and develop and execute maintenance plans to ensure optimal performance of machinery and equipment, while also spearheading engineering projects aimed at process improvement and technology integration


Required experience:


  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians responsible for plant maintenance, operations, and improvement projects.
  • Oversee the management of plant assets including machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and longevity.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies, schedules, and procedures to minimize downtime and ensure efficient production processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing processes, reducing waste, improving productivity, and enhancing product quality.
  • Manage contractor relationships and ensure work is performed according to specifications and timelines.
