Westbourne are looking for an experienced Fleet Workshop Manager to join our Hickstead team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall running of the workshop, managing the day-to-day operations to ensure the highest levels of service are maintained.
The workshop covers maintenance of our own fleet of HGV and LCV, together with a small amount of retail business.
We seek a proactive candidate who thrives on solving problems, finding solutions and goes the extra mile to keep our fleet of emergency vehicles running 24/7.
About The Job:
It's a busy role with lots of variety. We have an experienced team of professional mechanics.
Key duties would include -
Oversee the day-to-day running of the workshop, ensuring all jobs are completed within time frames.
Monitor the progress of all jobs and ensure that they are completed within the time frames.
Ensure all work is carried out to the highest quality standards and that fleet timescale requirements are met, working with other Managers to meet deadlines.
Monitor the performance of the team, providing guidance and support when needed.
Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
Liaise with other departments to ensure the smooth running of the workshop.
Develop and implement strategies to improve performance.
Ensure that all members of the team are adequately trained.
Manage the budget of the workshop and ensure that it is kept within the allocated budget.
Liaise with suppliers and ensure that all parts are ordered and delivered promptly.
