£35,000 FTE Dependent on experience (likely part-time take-home: £21,000)

About Our Client

Our client is an award-winning physiotherapy clinic. They offer a variety of physiotherapy treatments, delivered by an experienced team who are qualified in a range of specialities. Thier ethos is that people should be able to enjoy good physical health at any stage of life, with access to treatment in their local area. Our client's specialist Community Physiotherapy Team offer a service whereby physiotherapy assessment and treatment can be done within the patient’s own home or place of care.

About The Role

Our client's clinic is based in Horley, Surrey. The Community Team, currently comprising of five team members at present, serves the surrounding areas including Horley, Reigate, Redhill, & Crawley.

In this role you will manage a caseload of patients independently and be accountable for assessing, interpreting, planning and implementing physiotherapy treatment and care to patients within professional guidelines. You will ensure that patients receive the appropriate care in the most appropriate setting and to keep the patient at the centre of his or her care and decision-making about it.

Core responsibilities include:

1. Treating, supporting and working within a multi-professional team.

2. Undertaking assessments, treatments and care planning.

3. Supervising and training junior staff and physiotherapy assistants.

Conditions you might expect to treat include: mobility issues; injuries after a fall; post injuries or fractures; respiratory conditions; after-illness or hospital admission conditions; post-surgery rehab (including joint replacements); neurological conditions; general age-related deterioration of function; progression of a known diagnosis; physiotherapy whilst in respite care.

About You

You must be a HCPC-registered physio who is also a member of the CSP. You will also have a minimum of two years postgraduate experience (a little less than this may be considered for the right person). In addition, you will have:

  • A full UK driving licence (not international) and your own car to use for travel between patients
  • Recent community experience
  • Case-management experience
  • Experience of working with adults and other patient/care groups
  • Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team

It would also be good if you have:

  • Experience working in private practice
  • Orthopaedic experience
